We had the opportunity to test drive the EV9 for a few hours on a local freeway and found it to be easy to drive and comfortable for long distances. The EV9 can block road noise and wind while driving on the highway. It is smooth on ruts and humps. The acceleration is quite quick, and the car comes with adjustable regenerative braking to enable "one pedal driving" by simply lifting the accelerator.
The EV9 is extremely reliable and can be fully charged in just three hours at home, or using any commercial charger. Drivers can choose between two modes of operation that include eco mode and sports mode. Eco mode focuses on torque and cruise control while the sport mode increases speed and handling. Both modes are enjoyable to drive and provide an experience unlike any other for those who have never driven an electrical vehicle before.

GreenPower is currently producing around 10 EV Star buses per month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is working to replace their fleet of older diesel vehicles with 100 all-electric vehicles. With the Biden Administration planning to electrify school buses nationwide, GreenPower plans on ramping production to meet the demand.
